Owning the whole stack
I'm comfortable on both sides of the API: designing database structures, wiring up queues and Lambda functions, and building the interface people actually touch. Seeing the full picture makes every layer better.
Main bio
I build web and mobile products end to end, from React and Next.js interfaces to NestJS APIs and serverless systems on AWS. I care about code that stays fast, readable, and easy to change long after launch.
I've worked with teams in Ethiopia, the UAE, and the US on everything from AI-powered recruiting and e-commerce to delivery logistics and healthcare fundraising. I've led a team of five developers, run operations as COO of a digital studio, and co-founded Bebe Organization as CTO.
Currently, I'm a Frontend Engineer at Digicom Intelligent Systems, working with TanStack Start and React Native. Before that, I spent over a year and a half at Byond building face detection, event-driven backends on AWS, and the private npm library at the core of the app.
When I'm not coding, you'll find me gaming, travelling, or deep in a good book. I studied Software Engineering at Addis Ababa University and graduated with Very Great Distinction.

front to back.
Serverless functions, SQS queues and asynchronous events let a product grow without the bill growing faster. I reach for architecture that stays efficient as traffic climbs, and keep data in sync across PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
scale, not sprawl!
From managing a five-person team at the Institute of Foreign Affairs to running a studio as COO, I've learned the best way to lead is to turn client requirements into a clear architecture and keep everyone shipping.
we, not me.
Reviewing changes, refactoring business logic and optimizing hot paths is unglamorous work, but it's what keeps a large codebase healthy and production stable long after the launch.
